A customer is using Content Conversion Services to convert Office documents to PDF. For cases where a font is not found and PrizmDoc substitutes it during the conversion, the customer would like to have a mention of that in the returned response. To my understanding, PrizmDoc will provide this information in the logs, however. Currently, only cases where a font is missing in a header/footer or a watermark are reported in a response.
Having this ability will allow developers information that they could use to help obtain the right fonts for their system.
The engineering analysis on this request has completed. The engineering and on-going support costs to implement this feature exceeds the ROI at this time. However, others can review and add their comments and votes for future consideration.
We know that "font not found" is rare, but we would like to know about it when it happens. Since we currently get about 5~10 million files per month, even if it only happens 0.01% of the time it still affects ~500 users per month.
